Review: Artdeco Eyeshadow Base

I have quite a lot e/s bases, but I've noticed that all of them make my eye lids dryer... So I have decided to get a base with a creamy texture. This is how I have "met" my little precious which I absolutely love - Artdeco Eyeshadow Base! 

Artdeco is a german brand and I am sure that most of those who are from Europe can find and try their products, I know that a lot of girls enjoy them, including myself :) 

Artdeco Eyeshadow Base comes in a small plastic jar. It's very sturdy and classy looking. I like the design a lot.

At first sight you may think: oh wow it is so tiny, will it last me at least a month??? Oh yeaahhh, it will last you a whole year if not longer! :) Because you need a very small amount for each application.

The texture is really creamy, waxy, just like my dry lids needed! You can see some glitters into it, but they are so so fine...and unnoticeable when you apply your eyeshadows on top of it. After you blend it on your lids it becomes transparent, so that means it matches every skin color.

Now let's take a look at the description of this base which is stated on the site:

Ok, I have to tell you that everything stated in the description is TRUE!

My eye makeup lasts all day, well 8-10 hrs for sure, usually I don't wear makeup longer than that :) My e/s glide on so smooth on my lids and blend very well also after the base is applied and totally dry. I love using this base with my shimmery e/s especially, it like gives them some additional glow, make them more shiny! :)

But be attentive on the amount you apply! Because if you use too much on your lids, the eyeshadows will not apply as smooth and even as they should and you can experience some creasing :) 

From my experience I can tell you, that if you're using shimmery eyeshadows, you can apply them in 30 secs after you put on the base; if you're using matte e/s wait at least 2-3 mins untill the base is totally dry, otherwise you will not like the result, your e/s will not apply even.

The only thing I can mention about this base which may bother some of you... it smells like a masculine fragrance :) But I don't notice this smell after I have applied it on the lids.  

This is an eyeshadow from a wet n wild palette which I have applied over this base on the left and on bare skin on the right :) The difference is obvious :)

I RECOMMEND you this base! I have paid for it abt 8$-8.50$. Check your beauty stores for this brand, maybe you just did not notice its counter :)
